How do you disable Microsoft Excel 07 Auto Backup?

I use Microsoft Excel 2007 on a university network. We a group of files that auto-backups created every time we save them. I understand why they are created, and I tried to disable the option in the Options menu>> menu backup and also searching the excellent add-ins, add-ins are browsing the menu and perform a search on the hard disk of the computer for the file autobackup.xla. We do not need the backup files and want to know how to disable that creates them. THANK YOU!
