Can I hack my PS3 to play PS2 games?

I have 2 PS3 generation, who will not play PS2 games on their own. There is a software that can do you play PS2 games? If yes, is quality virus-free/good free / reliable?

No. There is no way to cut it to can play a PS2. No software or add-on will work. Buy a PS2. Buy a used PS3 backwards compatible. Stop playing PS2 games.
