Atari Games Centipede

With the game becoming more popular every day, you will never find yourself wondering where it all began? What is the history behind the games? Games in general has an interesting history that goes back long before computers became so popular. Board games have been around for thousands of years, but the first idea to find a way to use the games in conjunction with the television occurred in the 1950s. Ralph Bauer is responsible for this unique idea and the invention of the "Brown Box ", which later led to the invention of the video console systems. He showed that the television company called Magnavox, which also thought it was an excellent idea.
In 1971, Nolan Bushnell launched The Game's first commercial video arcade. Although The Game was considered a great invention that was confusing to play and so it became very popular. Bushnell then formed Atari Inc., which led to the introduction of Pong. Alan Bushnell and Alcorn joined forces and created this arcade game very successful, which was introduced in 1972. This invention paved the way for commercial arcade games and set the home video game industry in motion, with the creation of the home versions of Pong.
Based on "Bauer Brown Box prototype" of the 50's the "Odyssey", was also presented to the public in 1972. Back then it was exciting but compared with today's technology would be considered primitive. It was a great success because this type of technology still needed to be improved considerably. Improvements were made and in 1978 the Atari 2600 home console was making headlines with Space Invaders. There were also games and computer designed for the Apple II and TRS-80 during this time they were getting lots of attention. Â
Of course, between 1972 and 1978 there were several games arcade more commercial to be designed and presented to the public. These included some of the Tank, shooting, Night Driver, Breakout, Football and Space Invaders. The commercial arcade game Space Invaders was so popular that it inspired designers to create the Atari 2600 home allowing players to play in the comfort of their homes.
In 1979 and throughout the 80's, continued technology has improved a lot in the graphics department making it possible to create more hit video games that included Asteroids, Battlezone, Defender, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Centipede, Tron, Star Wars, Dragon's Lair and Street Fighter. All these are designed for commercial and home entertainment.
Throughout the 90s and the early part of 2000 there were many more improvements made to systems and games that paved the way for exciting and entertaining games that are available today. Pac-Man and Mario Brothers games are still popular and have been enhanced and transformed into adventures that lead you through a variety of worlds and challenges.
Game has much more to offer today than ever. Not only are video games designed with the latest technology, including excellent graphics and control precision but with the improvements in computer systems and the Internet has opened a new world of entertainment. You now have the ability to download games to your computer, play games online games, participate in MMORPG's and even play in tournament games with other players from around the world. Video games have certainly come a long way since the first arcade games that define the world of gaming on the go.
